1st Place Finish in GS, 2014 Nationals

Pleased to announce my first ever US Nationals first place podium finish- in today’s GS race at Bromley mountain, in southern Vermont. So excited that I was able to pull out the first place finish, with clean skiing and some ambitious jumping, but was preceded by two second place finishes in the Sprint Classics. My take-away of the day? I cant over think anything- I have suddenly seem to overcome my fear of hucking off the jumps, which has made all the difference (not to mention that I didn’t have to skate…)

Can’t wait for our two Classics and another GS race in the next two days, as we close out Nationals.
